Mission

 The mission of the South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD) is to protect the natural resources of South Carolina through its 46 member conservation districts by providing the leadership, information, and tools which enable districts to achieve their goals.

The Chester Soil and Water Conservation District held its 2016 Awards and Recognition Banquet on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Chester First Baptist Church social hall.  Chairman Allen L. Beer presided and gave the invocation.  A large crowd enjoyed a buffet dinner.  The guest speaker for the evening was Tom Patton, deputy state forester with the S. C. Forestry Commission.

On August 18, 1995, Rodger D. McDaniel began to serve on the Board of Commissioners of the Chester Soil and Water Conservation District.  He has served faithfully in the office of Commissioner for twenty years, giving selflessly of his time and energy.  Pictured below are Mr. Beer presenting Mr. McDaniel with a 20-Year Pin.

STEWARDSHIP CALLS FOR EACH PERSON TO HELP CONSERVE THE PRECIOUS RESOURCES OF SOIL, WATER,AIR,PLANTS, AND ANIMALS.
